k.u.k. Luftfahrtruppen

This website is dedicated to our on-going research project on aviators from the Tyrol and Vorarlberg (including South Tyrol and Trentino) in the k.u.k. Luftfahrtruppen – the Austro-Hungarian Air Force. The site also contains information on and excerpts from our previous book on Austro-Hungarian flying aces in World War I (available in German: “Österreich-Ungarns Fliegerasse im Ersten Weltkrieg“).

Dieses Bild hat ein leeres Alt-Attribut. Der Dateiname ist Stoi_500x500.jpg

“I certainly instilled many hits on the enemy. I was not able to see what happend to him afterwards because of the smother (reporting potential aerial victory).”

— Raoul Stoisavljevic, Tyrolean Ace, 30 November 1917

As of now, most of the information on this website is only available in German, but we hope to add more content in English in the future.

If you have any information, pictures, and documents on World War I aviators from Tyrol, South Tyrol, Trentino, and Vorarlberg, please do not hesitate to get in touch with us! kontakt@luftfahrtruppen.at
